The Dalt Vila Ibiza App is an interactive digital guide designed to help visitors explore Dalt Vila, the UNESCO World Heritage fortified old town of Ibiza. Through audio guides, educational content, quizzes, leaderboards and custom routes, visitors can discover the history, culture and architecture of one of the Mediterranean's most important historic sites.
Watch the following short videos to learn how to use the app.
Purpose: First-time setup and orientation
How to download the app, select language, and understand the main screen layout.
Walk through the map view, explain what the markers represent, and how to switch between Adult and Kids mode. End with a first tap on a Point of Interest so the user knows what to expect.
Purpose: Core discovery experience
Demonstrate tapping a POI marker, listening to the audio guide, reading the text version, and viewing the anecdote. How the adult and kids versions differ for the same location. Emphasise that users can switch between audio and text at any time.
Purpose: Engagement and gamification
Explain when and how the quiz appears, how questions relate to POIs visited, and how scoring works. Show a full quiz attempt, the results screen, and where the ranking is displayed. Cover both the Adults and Kids quiz variants.
Purpose: School visits and guided tours
Show how a teacher or guide creates a group (via the code), how students enter the group code in the app, and what changes once they're in a group — shared leaderboard, group ranking, competing with classmates. Ideal audience: teachers, tour operators, event organisers.
Purpose: Motivation and replay value
What happens after completing the route — uploading a score, choosing or taking an avatar photo, and seeing the name appear on the all-time leaderboard. Explain that the leaderboard is global and persistent, so users can compete with past visitors. Good for families and repeat visitors.
Purpose: Flexibility for time-constrained visitors
Show how to reorder points of interest, remove stops that don't fit the available time, and restore the default route. Emphasise that the quiz and scoring still work on a partial route. Ideal audience: tourists with 1–2 hours, independent travellers.
Purpose: Event organisers and tourism professionals
Device set up at a stand (tourism fair, exhibition, museum entrance). Walk through one full visitor cycle — language selection, exploration, quiz, score submission, automatic reset for the next person — without any staff intervention. Audience: Ayuntamiento staff, tourism fair exhibitors, hotel lobbies.
